Three bears and a bowl of porridge isn't much of a pantomime. This one runs a circus instead.
When Madam Meanie arrives plotting a hostile takeover of Dame Bernie Barnum's failing circus, three honey-loving bears make off with the honeypot and the money hidden inside, and an official known only as The Government turns up wanting paperwork. It's a shame Psychic Cheryl doesn't see it coming.
There's also an easy-to-stage and very funny slosh scene where Dame Barnum takes on the custard pie machine and loses. Twin clowns Charlie and Cooper spend the entire show building up to a deliciously daft custard joke that'll have the dads wishing they'd thought of it first.
This pantomime script is just right!

Goldilocks and the Three Bears Pantomime Script Excerpt
MADAM MEANIE is in the forest, plotting to get her hands on Dame Barnum’s circus. BEAN, her sidekick, enters. He is out of breath.
MADAM MEANIE: Bean, there you are. Why are you panting?
BEAN: I’ve been on a jog.
MADAM MEANIE: I didn’t know you were a runner, Bean?
BEAN: I certainly am, ma’am. Although it doesn’t matter how fast I ran, I couldn’t catch my breath.
MADAM MEANIE: What news of Dame Barnum’s circus?
BEAN: Not much, but, as you predicted, she seems to be strapped for cash!
MADAM MEANIE: Excellent, then I’ll buy her circus for a knockdown price. This might be easier than I thought, just like taking candy from a baby!
BABY BEAR enters with a lollipop.
MADAM MEANIE: Perfect timing. (Taking BABY BEAR’S lollipop) I’ll take that.
BABY BEAR: Hey, that’s mine!
MADAM MEANIE: Not any more it isn’t.
BABY BEAR: I’ll tell my mummy and daddy you stole it!
MADAM MEANIE: (Nonchalantly) Go on then.
BABY BEAR: (Calling offstage) Daddy, someone stole my lollipop!
DADDY BEAR’S voice booms from offstage.
DADDY BEAR: (Off) What? Then they’d better clear off, or I’ll eat them for lunch!
MADAM MEANIE: (Urgently) Let’s go; we don’t want to be a teddy bear’s picnic!
MADAM MEANIE and BEAN exit. MUMMY and DADDY BEAR enter.
DADDY BEAR: Get away from Baby Bear or I’ll wolf you down like… like a wolf!
MUMMY BEAR: Calm down, Daddy Bear, there’s no one here. (To BABY BEAR) What happened?
BABY BEAR: A horrible woman took my lolly.
MUMMY BEAR: Oh no. How about we get you something else later?
BABY BEAR: Can I have some sweeties?
MUMMY BEAR: We haven’t got any sweeties, sweetie.
BABY BEAR: What about some sugar?
MUMMY BEAR: We haven’t got any sugar, sugar.
BABY BEAR: How about some honey?
MUMMY BEAR: We haven’t got any honey, honey.
BABY BEAR: But I love honey, it’s my favourite.
DADDY BEAR: It’s not far to Dame Barnum’s circus; she’s sure to have some honey. Shall we go on a little adventure?
BABY BEAR: (Enthusiastically) Yes please!
MUMMY BEAR: The last time you went on an adventure you came back obsessed with marmalade sandwiches!
BABY BEAR: Please can we go? I only want a little bit of honey.
DADDY BEAR: (To MUMMY BEAR) It’ll be fine, Mummy Bear, and you know what they say… Honey makes the world go round!
