Goldilocks and the Three Bears surprises groups more than almost any other title, because the circus setting gives it a visual energy and a range of Ensemble roles that most panto’s simply can't match. Dame Barnum is a gift of a Dame part, Madam Meanie is a thoroughly satisfying villain, and the Three Bears bring the cute-factor and a whole lot of honey!

Goldilocks and the Three Bears Pantomime Script Synopsis

Dame Barnum's Circus is struggling to make ends meet, and when the ruthless Madam Meanie arrives with her eye on a takeover, things look worse than ever.

Meanwhile, Charlie and Cooper, the twin clowns, can't stop arguing, and three honey-loving bears have made off with Barnum's Honeypot containing her secret stash of cash.

With the circus on the brink, Goldilocks and Dame Barnum rally the whole company to fight back. With a little help from Fairy Featherwings, they discover that standing together might just be enough to make their ragtag circus the Greatest Show On Earth.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears Pantomime Script Excerpt

All the CIRCUS-ACTS have gathered in the Big Top and are waiting for our heroes to return.

JESSIE: Has anyone seen Dame Barnum? I’m getting worried about her.

PSYCHIC CHERYL: Fear not... I can sense her, she’s coming now!

GOLDILOCKS enters.

GOLDILOCKS: Hey everyone, are the others back yet?

SAMPSON: Not yet. But Psychic Cheryl predicted Dame Barnum’s arriving any second now.

GOLDILOCKS: Well, I am her daughter, so it’s an easy mistake to make.

Everyone laughs.

PSYCHIC CHERYL: Wait... I can feel her presence approaching…

RINGO enters.

GOLDILOCKS: Ringo, you made it! Are you alright?

RINGO: Just about. Where are the others?

GOLDILOCKS: We’re still waiting for them.

PSYCHIC CHERYL: (Confidently) Wait no longer, for Dame Barnum is here!

BARON VON TRAKMIND enters.

BARON: Blimey, those bears were terrifying!

GOLDILOCKS: I know, it was awful.

JESSIE: Yeah, but not as bad as Psychic Cheryl’s predictions, that’s three times she’s got it wrong!

SAMPSON: What are we going to do if she never comes back?

PSYCHIC CHERYL: I fear Dame Barnum will not return and she is lost to the forest forever.

DAME BARNUM enters.

DAME: I’m home!

PSYCHIC CHERYL: (Exasperated) I don’t know why I bother.

JESSIE: Did you get the Honeypot back?

DAME: No, and I don’t think we ever will. There’s nothing else for it, I’ll have to sell the circus to Madam Meanie.

Everyone gasps. There is an evil chord as MADAM MEANIE enters.

MADAM MEANIE: Dame Barnum, that’s music to my ears.

GOLDILOCKS: Mum you can’t, Madam Meanie is horrible!
