Every Cinderella has a Fairy Godmother. This one also has Fairy Sparkles, her enthusiastic but gloriously unreliable work-experience fairy, L-plates and all.
When Baroness Hardup makes Cinderella rip up her royal invitation, the fabulously awful Ugly Sisters, Ammonia and Amnesia, set about trying to woo the Prince, who wants nothing to do with either of them, and Fairy Sparkles is handed a magic wand she’s in no way qualified to use.
Your Ensemble have lots to do as cleaners, mice, and guests at the Royal Ball, and Buttons has to repeatedly recall a silly sentence built by adding awkward alliteration!
With this script, you shall go to the ball!

Cinderella Pantomime Script Excerpt
BARONESS HARDUP, AMMONIA and AMNESIA are guests at the Royal Ball.
BARONESS: Now, do you remember why we’re here, Amnesia?
AMNESIA: (Thinking) Um…
BARONESS HARDUP rolls her eyes and interrupts.
BARONESS: We’re here to speak to the Prince and get him to marry one of you! Ammonia, you go first. And don’t forget, approach him with charm and sophistication.
AMMONIA: Yes, Mother. (She yells at PRINCE CHARMING in a non-charming and entirely unsophisticated way) Oi, fitty!
AMMONIA steps towards PRINCE CHARMING but BARONESS HARDUP pulls her back.
BARONESS: On second thoughts, you go first, Amnesia.
AMNESIA approaches PRINCE CHARMING.
AMNESIA: Your Highness, it is an honour to have been invited this evening.
PRINCE: You’re very welcome.
AMNESIA: I was thinking you could give me a private tour.
PRINCE: No thank you.
PRINCE CHARMING takes a step away. AMNESIA retreats. BARONESS HARDUP encourages AMMONIA to approach.
AMMONIA: Hello, Your Highness.
PRINCE: (Looking at her in alarm and calling out) Security!
AMMONIA: Don’t be such a spoilsport.
AMMONIA turns around and heads back. AMNESIA tries her luck again.
AMNESIA: How about I give you a tour of my privates?
PRINCE: I said no thank you.
AMNESIA returns to BARONESS HARDUP and AMMONIA, who chastise her with looks of disapproval. CINDERELLA enters. She looks stunning in a beautiful ballgown.
MASTER OF CEREMONIES: Our next guest is… Um… I’m not sure of her name, but looking like that I have absolutely no doubt she has an invitation.
PRINCE CHARMING sees her and rushes to tell DANDINI.
PRINCE: Dandini, that’s her. She’s here! I need to talk to her. (Indicating AMMONIA and AMNESIA) Get those two sisters away from me.
DANDINI: How?
PRINCE: I don’t know; make something up!
DANDINI crosses over to BARONESS HARDUP, AMMONIA, and AMNESIA.
DANDINI: Excuse me, apparently the chef hid a million-pound note in the trifle. If you can find it you can keep it.
BARONESS HARDUP, AMMONIA, and AMNESIA rush offstage gleefully.
