Traditional Pantomime Scripts

The stories your audiences know and love, written from scratch with fresh gags and fully original scripts.

These are the titles that sell tickets from the poster alone. Your audience arrives already knowing who Cinderella is, what happens to the beanstalk, and roughly how things turn out for Peter Pan, and that familiarity is an asset, not a limitation. The job of a traditional pantomime script is to honour the story and then find every possible opportunity to surprise, delight, and bring the house down within it.

Every script here is fully original. Not an adaptation, not a licensed retelling, classic tales reimagined from scratch, with new characters, new comic business, and gags that belong to the show rather than borrowed from anywhere else. That distinction matters: a group performing one of these scripts is putting on something genuinely new, even when the title is centuries old.

Traditional pantomime scripts also tend to be the safest choice when a society is unsure about its audience. A well-known title reduces marketing effort, reassures committees, and gives directors a strong foundation to build on.

When choosing between traditional titles, the most useful thing you can do is read the script before assuming the story guarantees the show. Two productions of Beauty and the Beast can feel entirely different depending on how the Dame is written, how the villain is built, and what comic business sits in the first act. The story is the canvas, not the content. A careful Perusal Script read will tell you quickly whether the writing has the detail, the specificity, and the comic timing to carry your production, and whether the characters feel genuinely playable by the company you have.
