Pantomime Scripts
for Medium Casts
Panto scripts with ten to thirteen principal roles. For companies with a solid company and plenty of capable performers who all want a proper part.
These scripts suit the situation most groups actually find themselves in: a reliable company of performers, enough experienced leads to fill ten or more principal roles, and an ensemble that wants to feel genuinely involved rather than decorative. The principal count sits between the tight discipline of a small-cast show and the logistical stretch of a large one.
Most scripts include named supporting roles on top of the principal count, so there’s room to give more of your company something specific to play. Cast sizes listed are a guide, not a ceiling. If you have found that small-cast scripts feel too lean and large-cast scripts feel like a production management challenge, these are the ones to look at.
If you are unsure whether a medium cast script is the right fit, the clearest test is to map the principal character list against your strongest performers. A medium cast production works when each of those principals is occupied and purposeful for most of the evening, and when the supporting roles give your ensemble something specific to play rather than a loose instruction to fill the stage. If the principal list feels stretched across your available leads, the small cast section may be a better fit. If it feels too tight, the large cast options are worth a look. But for most societies, most years, the medium cast range is where the match tends to sit.
A free Perusal Script is available for every title. Read it, share it with your director and your committee, and decide which of our pantomime scripts is right for you.
